Mildred's Area Community Society (SMACS). We hope that whether you are
a resident or a visitor, you will find the web site interesting and
useful.
For over forty years, people living in this part of Canterbury have acted together through the society to maintain and enhance the quality of life of the neighbourhood and to foster a spirit of local community.
The special ambience of the area reflects its historic blend of residential and commercial activity, its mix of charm, vitality and tranquillity, and its many treasures of domestic and public architecture, including the Norman Castle and the medieval church of St Mildred.
